On 4th November 2020, SPIA issued a small grant call for proposals on the topic of Agricultural innovations in Ethiopia. Building on the partnership with the Central Statistics Agency of Ethiopia (CSA) and the LSMS-ISA team at the World Bank, the call aimed to identify PhD or Master’s students and early-career researchers as grant recipients to analyze the datasets of the Ethiopia Socioeconomic Survey (ESS), taking stock of the recently released Ethiopian synthesis report.

A total of 166 submissions were received, and 14 proposals have now been selected to receive grants. The proposals were divided into four categories, according to their research topic. Below is the list of students and early career researchers that were selected to receive grants.
