The SPIA Affiliate Network
The SPIA Affiliate Network is a key element of SPIA's new operational model, utilizing world-class research consortia for country studies. SPIA Affiliate membership is offered to Principal Investigators (PIs) and co-PIs of full SPIA country studies. This group is a point of contact for the country studies and is expected to exchange information on the country work through regular calls amongst the group members and/or with SPIA.
The SPIA Country Affiliates provide advice or specific guidance on topics that are relevant to SPIA. Through their own networks, they extend the reach of SPIA’s professional network and can be invited by SPIA to participate in meetings and events.
On the other hand, the Affiliate Member status provides researchers with greater visibility and traction with CGIAR and other counterparts in the countries, as it allows them to leverage SPIA’s reputation within the system and to extend or deepen their CGIAR networks.
