Under the new SPIA Chair, Doug Gollin, discussion of SPIA activities and progress since SPIA 41 and ISPC 5 meetings. Highlights include updates on inception workshop for the four ex post IAs on social impacts of CGIAR research, the Diffusion and Impact of Improved Varieties in Africa (DIIVA) project, IA on CGIAR investments in germplasm collection, conservation, characterization and evaluation (GCCE), and plans to launch the Strengthening Impact Assessment in the CGIAR (SIAC) program.
