IAES Releases Video Showcasing Stakeholder Engagement on CGIAR Ways of Working

The Independent Advisory and Evaluation Service (IAES) has released a new video highlighting insights and reflections from a series of five webinars on CGIAR’s Ways of Working.

The video offers an extract of discussions that brought together approximately 100 key stakeholders across the System, including members of the Integrated Partnership Board, System Council, CGIAR management and program directors, Centers leadership, researchers, Internal Audit, and IAES Evaluation Function consultants. The discussions were facilitated by Allison Smith, Director of IAES. The webinars provided a platform for dialogue, reflection and additional insights from stakeholders across governance, leadership and research communities.

The CGIAR 2030 Research and Innovation Strategy identify the Ways of Working as essential to strengthening the delivery of research-based solutions for development outcomes. To support learning and evidence-informed decision-making, the Evaluation Function of IAES produced five summaries covering the Ways of Working. These summaries aim to guide CGIAR governance and management bodies in operationalizing the WoWs and to illuminate opportunities for improved collaboration, partnership, and innovation.

The newly released video distills highlights from these exchanges, emphasizing a consistent message that emerged throughout the series: Advancing the Ways of Working requires doing business differently; together. As CGIAR continues its transformation journey, the discussions captured in this video provide valuable signals on where collective action can strengthen how the System collaborates and delivers on its mission.

IAES Evaluation Function will continue its efforts to generate and share evidence that supports learning, accountability, and informed decision-making across CGIAR.
