Chunhao Yang is a pre-doctoral research fellow with SPIA based at the University of California, Davis in the Agricultural & Resource Economics Department. He has research interest in various topics of development economics. Chunhao earned his Master of Science degree (2024) in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University. 

Chunhao’s educational journey has been marked by a commitment to excellence. Before joining Cornell University, he completed his undergraduate studies in Chemical Biology and Economics (2021) at Peking University. His academic performance and research potential have been recognized in both majors. He spent a lot of time in the lab and contributed to the development of RNA modifications sequencing methodologies. After joining Cornell, he has focused his research on malaria and its economic burden for households in sub-Saharan Africa.
