Abstract
This two-page brief highlights key findings from the 2024 SPIA Ethiopia Report: Building Resilience to Shocks. Using new data from the Ethiopia Socioeconomic Panel Survey (ESPS 5), the report updates the 2020 Country Study and provides a national perspective on how adoption of agricultural innovations evolved from 2018/19 to 2021/22.
Despite conflict, droughts, a food security crisis, and the COVID-19 pandemic, CGIAR-related innovations continued reaching more than 5M households. The most significant increases in adoption were seen in drought-tolerant maize, crossbred poultry, and forage grasses.
