Virtual launch of SPIA Country Study reports

Time: 4:30pm - 6:30pm CET
Location: Virtual, via Webex - Internal

SPIA has been working to improve the accuracy and efficiency of data collection related to the adoption of CGIAR innovations. This involved integrating new data collection protocols into large-scale surveys regularly implemented by national systems, in order to produce rigorous evidence of CGIAR’s reach. Phase 1 involved four countries: Ethiopia, Uganda, Vietnam and Bangladesh, and concluded in December 2024.

In addition to a summary of the findings from Phase 1, SPIA will present cross-country comparisons on estimated reach of top-ranking CGIAR-related innovations; notable surprises, both positive and negative; and discuss evidence about scaling mechanisms and enabling and disabling environments that affect the adoption of CGIAR innovations.

Success stories from these country studies will be grounded in rigorous evidence and allow for emerging reflections on explanations for the observed patterns. After an overview of findings from these four country studies, we will present greater detail related to emerging themes.
We will then engage a virtual panel in a discussion of these findings and implications for CGIAR work and priorities going forward. After a brief round of responses to questions collected during the webinar, we will conclude with final reflections from EMD Ismahane Elouafi.
