Frederic Kosmowski joined the CGIAR Standing Panel on Impact assessment in 2014 and is leading

the work on the adoption of agricultural innovations in Ethiopia. He conducted several

methodological experiments on the accuracy of agricultural data, including crop varietal

identification, natural resource management adoption and soil parameters. He started his career

with the French National Statistic Institute (INSEE) before moving to Benin where he studied linkages

between poverty, food security and climate change with the Development Research Institute (IRD).

He holds a PhD in Sociology from Aix-Marseille University.
