Saumya is from India. She has a master's degree in Development and International Economics from Yale University, and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi University. She has a work experience in the field of data analysis of 3 years. She has previously worked as a Quantitative Research Assistant at the Stanford Center for Health Education and the World Wide Fund for Nature. She worked on the impact evaluation of digital education programs in health and climate change. She co-authored a report on the role of digital education in improving maternal health in India. She is passionate about the political economy of rural development and hopes to conduct research on the socio-economic challenges faced by marginalized groups and the role of technology in aiding them.
