Isabella is a Pre-Doctoral Fellow at SPIA. She is hosted by IRRI in Dhaka, Bangladesh. She is currently a second year Master’s student in Economics at Lund University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from PUC-Rio. Isabella previously worked as research intern at CIFOR and Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA), having worked on projects in the fields of agriculture, nutrition, health and climate change. Before that, she was an intern at the UN’s Joint Inspection Unit and an undergraduate teaching assistant of Development Economics. Isabella is passionate about rural development, and hopes to conduct gender-intentional research on agriculture and food security in the future. She is originally from Turin (Italy), and holds Italian and Brazilian citizenships.
